Lighting the car park from within using dark sky's compliant asymmetric luminaires. |
This installation required the use of low level lights so we used 6m columns with 150w luminaire's. to achieve good results. |
On this installation we installed the energy saving T5 luminaire's. This reduced running costs and maintenance intervals. |
General area car park floodlights were used on 10m fixed columns. This achieved a 30 lux average with 0.4 uniformity. |

This installation required the removal of SON lighting and the installation of High frequency T5 lights. We incorporated photo electric cells, microwave detectors and a highly efficient lighting plot. This type of upgrade will save over 50% in electricity running costs and require less maintenance. |

The Mall, Blackburn, Block B multi story car park lighting system. |
We used the same high quality T5 luminaires to upgrade the car park lighting. The perimeter lights were controlled with a photocell and the general area controlled with microwave detectors. This meant that when there was over 30 minutes of inactivity the lights in that particular area would switch off. The car park was never in total darkness due to localised luminaires being on permanently during the night. Because this was an upgrade the existing cabling was re-used and tested during the installation and the system was permanently energised ,this allowed the installation of emergency lighting to be incorporated into the system. |
